Tours & Roundtable Registration

Thank you for considering attending one of our library tours/roundtables to make our Library even better!

Below is a list of available times with a description of what to anticipate during each time. Once you find one that works for you, please click on the registration form below and sign up. This is not required but appreciated, we also encourage you to bring more people with you.

Please note: All tours and roundtables will be meeting with a consultant to hear your input during the meeting you choose.

Monday June 10th-9:00-10:30 AM 

Kickoff Meeting
Join the library board and management as we participate in a roundtable discussion about our goals, objectives and strategies to improve the library. We will lead the workshop with trends, examples of projects and outcomes.

Discussion Items include:

  • Community Center & Library
  • Demographic changes-How do we respond?
  • Changing staff roles and responsibilities, what are some roles in the future?
  • What are some library issues?
  • What is the future of the library? (downtown, schools etc.)

Monday June 10th 1:30 PM-3:00 PM 

Tour & Q&A of the Library.

Join our Library consultant as they take you around the library to take a look at it through new eyes.

Join our Friends of Ste. Genevieve County Library to get to know them and what they do while we eat! Some discussion items include:

  • Why are we doing this? (life span of the building, digital services)
  • Use of electronic resources up/circulation down
  • Unique opportunities due to changes in our community make up
  • Staff profiles
  • Opportunities to share with county
  • Vision statement & how it fits into shifting opportunities
  • Feedback & ideas

Tuesday June 11th 8:00-9:30 am

Roundtable Meeting including business partners, community members and members of our library family. Discussion items include:

  • Community partners/embedded services
  • What can we do for our business community?
  • What do you wish the library could be?
  • What does the next generation need? Is there an overlap in services?
  • Unique opportunities due to changes in our community makeup
  • Vision statement
  • Feedback/Ideas

Tuesday June 11th 10:00-11:30 am

Children’s Library Roundtable

Help our staff and consultant identify how we can best improve our facility and services to meet the needs of future residents of Ste. Genevieve County. Held during our regular Storytime hours, our staff will entertain the children while we get input from parents & educators about how we can improve!

Tuesday June 11th 12:00-1:00 pm 

Lunch with Friends of the Library.

Did you miss our evening meeting on Monday? No problem, we will provide lunch while you meet representatives from the Friends of the Library and learn how you can be part of this new chapter of our library! We want to hear from participants in the library space including school librarians and people interested in joining the FOTL
