Friends of the Library

FAQS

What are the Friends?

The Friends of the Library is a non-profit, charitable group formed to support community libraries.  It accomplishes this through fundraising, advocacy, volunteerism, and programs of all kinds for children and adults.

What do the Friends do?The Friends organize programs and donate materials to the Library.  In 2017, the Friends volunteered at the Story Time Halloween Party and organized many of the health and safety classes presented throughout the year.  They also purchased the Story Time easel in the children’s area, and led the “Read me a Story” program during the Holiday Christmas Festival.  In 2018, the Friends plan to continue their assistance with Story Time, as well as helping organize crafting and volunteering programs. To this day, with many more examples over the years, the Friends of the Library have continued to raise money and support the library tremendously!

How can I join?  How can I help? The Friends of the Library always welcomes new members.  You can join by attending an upcoming meeting or contacting an existing Friends member.  Annual dues are $10.  If you would prefer to volunteer, please contact us.
